At the end of 2017, Xavier Project were proud to partner with Enuma to launch KitKit School, a tablet-based learning application in Kalobeyei Primary School in Kakuma. It is an innovative learning tool which is built to teach children early reading, writing and mathematics in a fun, interactive way. It is designed to provide children with the foundations and practice needed to build fundamental skills in literacy and numeracy regardless of access to school or resources. We believe that the app will be a very valuable component to our offering to our refugee students in Kakuma and across East Africa who are failing to access education. It has been named one of the finalists in the Global Learning XPRIZE competition. The students at Kalobeyei have now been using the app for nearly a month and will resume on a full trial when they return from Christmas holidays in January. We will keep you updated on this exciting partnership in 2018.
